Movie bargains


Where to see discounted movies:

“The Hangover Part III,” “After Earth” and “Frances Ha”

They’re new at the Crest Cinema. Also there: “The Croods 3D,” “Jurassic Park 3D” and “42” ($3-$4.50).

“After Earth,” The Hangover Part III” and “Frances Ha”

They’re new at the Admiral Theater in West Seattle. Also there: “The Croods” ($5.75).

“The Lone Ranger” and “Byzantium”

They’re new at the Varsity Theatre. Also there: “This Is the End.” All seats on Tuesday are $7.

“Man of Steel”

It continues at the Big Picture Seattle. The 2:45 p.m. show on Sunday and the 5:45 p.m. shows Monday-Tuesday are $8.50.

“The Goonies” and “Silence of the Lambs”

They’re new at the Central Cinema in Seattle. All shows $6-$8.

“Frances Ha”

It plays at the Tin Theater in Burien this week. All shows $8.

“After Earth,” “The Hangover Part III,” “Pain & Gain” and “42”

They’re new at the East Valley 13 in Renton. Also there: “Oblivion,” “The Call,” “Oz the Great and Powerful,” “Olympus Has Fallen,” “G.I. Joe: Retaliation,” “Identity Thief” and “Jack the Giant Slayer” ($3.50).

“Epic 3D,” “The Hangover Part III,” “Pain & Gain” and “After Earth”

They’re new at the Gateway in Federal Way. Also there: “The Croods 3D,” “Olympus Has Fallen” and “Oblivion” ($2, all seats on Tuesdays $1).

“Field of Dreams” and “The Sandlot”

They are the opening films in the “CinemaGig Outdoor” series: “Field of Dreams” on Friday, “The Sandlot” on Saturday. Shows at dusk, Skansie Brothers Park, 3207 Harborview Drive, Gig Harbor; free.

“High Fidelity”

It's this week’s entry in the “Movie Mondays” series. Show at 8 p.m. on Monday, Triple Door, 216 Union St., Seattle; $3.

“Thunderstruck”

It's this week’s entry in the “Bellevue Summer Outdoor Movies in the Park” series. Show at dusk on Tuesday, Bellevue Downtown Park, 10201 N.E. Fourth St., Bellevue; free, but food/clothing-item donations for various causes suggested.

“Back to the Future”

It's the opening film in the “Movies at Marymoor Park” series. Show at dusk on Wednesday, Marymoor Park, 6046 W. Lake Sammamish Parkway N.E., Redmond; $5.

“Moonrise Kingdom”

It's the opening film in the “Outdoor Movies at Magnuson Park” series. Show at dusk on Thursday, Magnuson Park, athletic fields, 7400 Sand Point Way N.E., Seattle; $5.

“Grandma’s Boy”

It's the opening film in the “Moonlight Cinema” series (21 and older only). Show at dusk on Thursday, Redhook Ale Brewery 14300 N.E. 145th St., Woodinville; $5.

“Back to the Future”

It's the opening film in the “Movies at the Park” series. Show at dusk on Thursday, Willis Tucker Park, 6705 Puget Park Drive, Snohomish; free.
