Tuesday TV Picks: William Shatner hosts ‘Weird or What?’


‘Weird or What?’

Each episode of this new series features three stories about strange, bizarre and unexplained events. And Syfy has picked the perfect host. Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. William Shatner. Can’t you just hear the former James T. Kirk/Denny Crane purring on about aliens and ghosts? Series premiere, 9 p.m. Tuesday on Syfy (seattletimes.com/tvlistings).

“Splash,” 8 p.m. (ABC): A masked diver takes the 10-meter plunge; the remaining celebrities compete for a spot in the finals.

“NCIS,” 8 p.m. (CBS): Ignoring orders from Homeland Security, the team searches for Bodnar in order to avenge the murders of Eli David and Jackie Vance.

“The Mindy Project,” 9:30 p.m. (Fox): Danny’s ex confronts him about a letter he wrote and Morgan secretly mailed, causing Danny to fire Morgan; the staff competes in a triathlon.

“Awkward.,” 10 p.m. (MTV): Jenna’s father talks to Matty’s parents about their children’s relationship.

“Grimm,” 10:01 p.m. (NBC): Cow mutilations and reports of glowing creatures lead Nick to question the existence of aliens in the Wesen world; Juliette has romantic memories of Nick.
