Huskies set spring football game for April 20

By Bob Condotta
Seattle Times staff reporter

The Washington football team will hold its annual spring game on April 20 at 4 p.m. at Memorial Stadium in Seattle with Husky Stadium still being renovated.

Husky Stadium is scheduled to open in time for the 2013 season opener, Aug. 31 against Boise State.

The spring game, the last of 15 spring practices, will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks.

The Huskies will start earlier than usual this spring. Generally, the Huskies don't start spring practice until the spring academic quarter has begun, which this year is April 1.

However, UW will hold its first spring practice on March 5 and practice for two weeks before taking two weeks off for final exams and spring break. The Huskies will resume workouts April 2 for three weeks, leading to the spring game.
