‘The 44th NAACP Image Awards’

A two-hour special that honors the achievements and performances by people of color in motion pictures, television, recordings, literature and writing, and directing. 8 p.m. Friday on NBC (seattletimes.com/tvlistings).

“Portlandia,” 7 and 10 p.m. (IFC): A temp worker hopes to turn her stint as Interim Mayor of Portland into a full-time job with Fred and Carrie’s help; a wedding is interrupted; local baristas draft a coffee shop manifesto; Kath and Dave struggle to find a table at a restaurant.

“Nikita,” 8 p.m. (CW): A rogue agent kidnaps his girlfriend; Michael sends Owen into the field with Nikita; Sean makes a decision.

“Shark Tank,” (ABC): Sandals for barefoot runners; a magnetic sound enhancer that doesn’t need power; a website that creates personalized soundtracks for children; an update on “Cousins Lobster.’’

“CSI: NY,” 9 p.m. (CBS): When a young pizza maker is carjacked, the team tries to figure out what the perpetrators were after.
