Richland school board fires superintendent

The Richland, Wash., School Board has fired Superintendent Jim Busey, who was accused of having an affair with a district staff member.

The board decided Tuesday that Busey can no longer be an effective superintendent in Richland.

KVEW reports ( http://bit.ly/XzlTlu) Busey is accused of violating a morals clause in his contract.

In a statement provided Wednesday to KNDU, Busey said, in his words, "All options are being considered personally and professionally and will be determined by my attorneys."
