Jackson Browne brings acoustic show to Benaroya

Veteran singer-songwriter Jackson Browne, a 2004 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee known for his literate and deeply personal songs, brings his 2013 all-acoustic tour (featuring guest musicians and varying set lists) to Seattle this weekend. In addition to such iconic songs as “Doctor My Eyes,” “Rock Me on the Water,” “Running on Empty” and “I Am a Patriot,” Browne has long been an advocate for human rights, arts education and the environment, and was a co-founder of Musicians United for Safe Energy.

Browne plays at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Benaroya Hall, 200 University St., Seattle; sold out (206-215-4747 or www.seattlesymphony.org). Proceeds from premium seats (now sold out) go to the Guacamole Fund, a public charity that helps to coordinate events for organizations working in the public interest.
