Rant & Rave
Rant & Rave: Music fan mad at herself after selling voided tickets

Rant To me for accidentally selling two voided tickets at the KISS/Motley Crue concert. There'd been confusion with the tickets and Ticketmaster issued me a second set, which supposedly voided the first set. I sold the two extras at face value a few hours before the concert but didn't realize until later that I'd given the guy two of the old (voided) tickets. I feel awful, and if he couldn't enter the concert because of my mistake, I'd like to track him down to return his money.

Rave To Out To Lunch concert organizers for bringing great music and smiles to all. Great job Seattle and Bellevue!

Rant To the dad at the fast-food place wearing a shirt that had a vulgarity printed on it. Let's hope you lose that shirt before your kid learns to read!

Rave To guests and the Antiques Roadshow crew at the Convention Center who became guardian angels for my 80-year-old sister when she passed out. After everyone's help, we were able to go on with the show.

Rant To neighbors who burn outdoor fires at night on warm evenings. Are you aware of the burn ban in King County? Your neighbors have to close their doors and windows to prevent their homes from filling up with your smoke.

Rave To Mike and his girlfriend, who gave me a ride as I was desperately hitchhiking after missing the bus to be on time for the bus to Vancouver. I've never hitchhiked before, not even in the 1960s, and must have been an odd sight on Nickerson Avenue, an older black woman with a small suitcase and a CPAP machine. I asked several drivers if they would take me downtown and Mike said yes. He's from Russia and still "adjusting to Seattle." I hope he has the opportunities to experience the beauty and positive energy of our city.

Rant To people who drop empty bottles and trash into the water at Beaver Lake Preserve in Sammamish. Please try to have some respect for the work that's gone into developing it for people to enjoy.
