Take a bicycle tour of Lake Washington Boulevard and learn the legacy of the Olmsted brothers, designers of New York's Central Park who were hired in 1903 by the city of Seattle to design our citywide park and boulevard system and preserve our scenic natural landscapes. Friends of Seattle's Olmsted Parks host the two-hour tour, starting at 10 a.m. Sunday in the parking lot of Colman Park, 1800 Lake Washington Boulevard S. and ending at Seward Park. No registration needed. It's an especially pleasant ride since the boulevard is closed to vehicles for Bicycle Sunday; free (www.seattleolmsted.org).
