Hector Noesi gave up 11 hits to the Tucson Padres over 4-2/3 innings as the Tacoma Rainiers fell 5-3 in the first game of a doubleheader at Tucson. The second game was not finished at press time.
Justin Smoak was 0 for 4 in the seven-inning Pacific Coast League game.

Patrick Kivlehan had three hits and three RBI to lead the AquaSox.
