Teen suspected in Hoquiam homicide

The Associated Press

Detectives in Hoquiam, Wash., are interviewing a 16-year-old suspect after a 20-year-old Aberdeen man was found dead early Saturday.

The investigation began when an officer came upon a car crash and discovered a white car had struck a rock embankment. The car was empty, but the officer noted blood on the driver's door and a large knife in the roadway.

As officers were investigating, police received a call from a mother worried that her son was "going to do something terrible." Police then interviewed the son, who was near the crash scene. Police said the teen admitted to stabbing a man during an altercation at an apartment complex and said the man sped off in white car.

KBKW reports officers discovered a man on the ground several blocks away.
