Estranged couple dead in Lacey murder-suicide

The Associated Press

Deputies say a man killed his estranged wife and then himself after she arrived at his home near Lacey to drop off the couple's two children.

Thurston County sheriff's Sgt. Ray Brady says it happened at about 5:15 p.m. Saturday. KOMO-TV reports that the children had walked away from their father's home to another home on the property, where his parents live.

The 39-year-old husband shot his 31-year-old wife and then himself. Their 8-year-old daughter ran over to home when she heard the noise and found her parents dead. She then ran back to her grandparents' home, and they called 911.

No names were immediately released.
