Thursday TV Picks: Season finale of the CW's 'The Secret Circle'

'The Secret Circle'

The CW's most recent addition to its stable of supernatural series concludes its first season tonight. It comes from the mind of producer Kevin Williamson ("Dawson's Creek," "Scream") and is based on the book series by L.J. Smith ("The Vampire Diaries"). It's the story of Cassie Blake (Britt Robertson — so good on the much-missed "Life Unexpected"), a teenager who discovers all sorts of strange and spooky things when she moves to Chance Harbor, Wa. Season finale, 9 p.m. Thursday on the CW (seattletimes.com/tvlistings).
