Dave Alford was named chief operating officer at Parametrix, an engineering, planning and environmental-sciences firm based in Auburn.
Alford previously served as senior vice president for the West Region of the Shaw Group, a global environmental and engineering firm with 27,000 employees. Alford also has held leadership positions at URS and Tetra Tech.
Banking: Jeffrey Wortley was appointed market manager at Key Private Bank, Seattle, for the Seattle, Bellevue and Trans-Mountain areas. Kandice Herndon was promoted to branch manager of the Ballard office of Peoples Bank, Seattle. Khue Dang joined Union Bank in Bellevue as a mortgage consultant.
Construction: Jeff Tobin was hired as manager of the Tenant Improvement Division at Schuchart, Seattle.
Consulting: Susan Eastly was named director of business operations at Ant's Eye View, Seattle.
Insurance: Mike Olson was promoted to vice president in the Seattle office of Kibble & Prentice.
Manufacturing: Marty Olberding was appointed director of customer services at Terex Aerial Work Platforms, Redmond.
Nonprofit: Seth Muir was named executive director of Salish Sea Expeditions, Bainbridge Island.
Printing: Randy Bice was named vice president of operations at RPI, Seattle.
Retail: Eric Artz was named chief financial officer at Kent-based REI.
