An emotional Halle Berry accepts her Oscar for best actress. Berry, nominated for her portrayal of a death-row widow in "Monster's Ball," tearfully acknowledged "every nameless, faceless woman of color that now has a chance because a door tonight has been opened." Berry is the first black woman to win the best-actress award.
