Seattle Times readers sent us hundreds of Christmas cards for our annual contest, and somehow we whittled the entries down to what you see here.

Those of you who eloquently reflected the influence Sept. 11 had on your own holidays took our breath away. Most of you, though, chose to make people smile. Thank you all for sharing and think of this gallery as our giant card to you. Happy holidays!
