Il Corvo Pasta
At its heart, a simple restaurant, this cozy Italian pasta shop on James Street, open weekdays for lunch, prepares just three to four noodle dishes and a handful of antipasti. Some days, that means conchiglie nero -- a spicy, garlicky squid-ink pasta -- or the snail-shaped lumache pasta with niçoise olives, capers and Spanish chilies. The only fixtures on the menu are three staple sauces -- Alla Bianca (butter and Parmesan), Con Pomodoro (a Roman-style tomato sauce) and Al Inferno (a fiery Calabrian chili and garlic-oil sauce) -- that can be ordered with any of the daily pastas.
