The Whale Wins
Critic rating: ![]()
What Chef Renee Erickson began at Boat Street Café and at The Walrus and the Carpenter, she takes to a more ambitious level here. A wood-fired oven does wonderful things for chicken, trout, marrow bones, vegetables and more, all of it seasoned or sauced with panache. European style and American warmth effortlessly entwine in the casual, country-chic ambiance and manners of the well-schooled staff. Dinner is always a crush, lunch and Happy Hour mellower. Full bar.
