The owners of Ballard's Bastille went South of the Border to transform this century-old timber-and-brick building into a Spanish colonial gem. Thousands of ceramic tiles richly contrast with lustrous black wood and scrolling ironwork. Among the menu must-haves: grilled corn, chicken mole enchiladas, ahogada torta with escabeche, and goat birria. There are two bars, one flanked by fire-pits on the heated patio. Open daily for lunch and dinner.
