TASTE Restaurant
Fresh, inventive, local and organic fare attracts more than museumgoers to this ambitious restaurant adjacent to the Seattle Art Museum. The lunch menu leans to salads and sandwiches. The kitchen struts its stuff at dinner with crab salad, guinea fowl, risotto and chorizo-stuffed lamb loin in both small sizes and large. You'll warm to the witty desserts and $5 happy-hour snacks, but the stark white interior may leave you cold. Full bar; Northwest wines; kid-friendly, too.

The open stainless-steel kitchen, left at Seattle Art Museum's Taste detracts from the restaurant's clean line, big windows and sleek bar.
