Do you have a big trip coming up? Whether you know a lot or virtually nothing about where you are traveling, chances are there is a hidden adventure waiting for you, and here's a website to help you find it.

The site Open Places (http://openplac.es/) has all the information you need to make your trip one to remember.

For the adventure types out there, Open Places gathers all of the "outdoorsy" opportunities each city has to offer and lists them in the outdoors tab, which the first column on each city after you choose it. The site really shines in offering unique suggestions for sporting or adventure opportunities that the average traveler may not think of on their own.

The site has information on approximately 200 different cities all over the world, so it is sure to have information for almost any traveler. While the site is not strictly focused on outdoor adventures, that is where it shines. People who want to do more than lie on the beach or see the typical tourist attractions can take a lot away from Open Places. All of the cities, even the ones that seem the least optimum for adventure, have things to offer in the great outdoors.
