My radio adventure covering Army-Navy
I'm in Philadelphia right now, covering the Army-Navy game. On Friday, I had the incredible experience of co-hosting Sportsradio KJR's afternoon show live from Philly with Elise Woodward. I was a sub for Mike Gastineau, a friend and influential Seattle sports radio figure who announced he was leaving the station after 21 years this week.
In recent years, the Gas Man has done a fabulous job with this Army-Navy preview show. I hope we did it justice. You can judge for yourself. Here are the podcasts of all the interviews we did from Philly on Friday.
I've been to the Army-Navy game once as a sports writer. The challenge of covering the event on the radio taught me some great lessons. I hope you check out a few of these interviews if you missed them.
One more link: My final segment with Gas can be found here. I almost teared up during the interview. He is a great friend and will continue to be. But I'm going to miss listening to him every day.
