Nightcap: Predict the Pac-12 men's basketball champion
Final thought
Three days into the new NBA season, and I'm hooked like I haven't been since the Sonics left. The anticipation of a new NBA team in Seattle is reviving my desire to learn the league inside and out once again. While Chris Hansen's arena-building, team-acquiring journey could take a while -- years, even -- it just feels like it will happen sooner. It feels like now is the time to prepare for the possibility of watching the NBA up close again.
I realize that some fans will never come back, and they certainly have a legit reason to stay away. But a healthy passion for basketball remains in this region, and the NBA is noticing. Hansen says so quite often, and he has a direct line to Stern.
Here's hoping that passion will be rewarded in the near future.
On tap
Busy day at The Brewery on Friday. I didn't get to finish my take on rushing the field today because I had to travel to the Bay Area for the Washington-California game. So, we'll talk about rushing the field in the morning. In addition, I'll be posting a Seahawks midseason report. And, of course, I'll be covering the Husky game. So be sure to check the site often.
