Detailing the Pac-12 vs. SEC football matchups since 2000
In today's column, I mentioned the fact that the Pac-12 has a 12-11 record since 2000 against the SEC.
Here's a look at all of the games, with the home team listed in bold (if neither is bold, the game was played at a neutral site):

UCLA 35, No. 3 Alabama 24
2001
No. 17 UCLA 20, No. 25 Alabama 17
2002
No. 19 USC 24, Auburn 17
No. 15 Oregon 36, Mississippi State 13
2003
No. 13 LSU 59, Arizona 13

2010
No. 7 Oregon 48, Tennessee 13
2011
No. 1 Auburn 22, No. 2 Oregon 19 (BCS National Championship Game)
2011
No. 4 LSU 40, No. 3 Oregon 27
A few notes:
- I only looked at games featuring teams when they were official members each conference. Nothing about Utah and Colorado pre-2011 counted because they weren't in the Pac-12. Nothing about Missouri and Texas A&M, in their first SEC season, pre-2012 applies, either.
- As we mentioned, the Pac-12 holds a 12-11 edge since 2000. During the SEC's streak of six consecutive national titles, the Pac-12 is 5-8 against the SEC.
- The SEC has won seven national titles since 2000. The Pac-12 has two (both by USC). Those totals include the 2003 title that LSU and USC split. USC was forced to vacate the 2004 title, of course, but I don't play the "It Didn't Happen" game.
- With USC's two national titles during this period, the Pac-12 is tied with the Big 12 (Oklahoma in 2000, Texas in 2005) for the second-most championships. The only other conferences to win one since 2000: The Big Ten (Ohio State) in 2002 and the Big East (Miami in 2001).
