Poll position: Who will win the American League Cy Young Award?

Today's poll, presented by Times sports editors, is basically about trying to gauge what you think of Felix Hernandez's candidacy to win the second American League Cy Young Award of his career.

The question is timely. King Felix is punishing hitters right now. He's 9-0 with a 1.40 ERA over his last 14 starts. He now leads the majors with a 2.43 ERA, and his 13-5 record isn't too shabby, either.

I do a regular tracking of Hernandez's Cy bid called the Felix Hernandez Cy Young Watch. I posted my latest analysis earlier today, on the heels of Hernandez's five-hit shutout Monday. Our Mariners beat writer Geoff Baker also wrote his take on where Hernandez stands in the race.

Now it's your turn. There is still more than a month left in the baseball season, but we want you to call it. Who's going to win the AL Cy?

Vote and discuss, please.
