Dynamic Duel podcast: Sonics Blame Game
Posted by Jerry Brewer
In this podcast, Danny O'Neil and I discuss the Sonics/Thunder, Seattle/Oklahoma City feud one more time, explain why the thinking behind why we wrote two very different columns on the subject in recent days and provide the definitive list, including percentages, of who to blame for Seattle's NBA-less predicament.
Howard Schultz: 66.6 (hmm, I wonder why that number?) percent
Local and state politicos: 10.5 percent
David Stern: 10.4 percent
Clay Bennett: 10 percent
Seattleites who didn't support efforts to keep the Sonics: 2.5 percent
Also included in this episode: Will Michael Pineda ever be better than Felix Hernandez? Do the NBA rules favor point guards too much now? Which player will be the next one ousted on "Mariners Survivor?" And in Last Call, a discussion of Mariners first baseman Justin Smoak's hot start.
