Intruder slashes tires, steals items from Green Lake home
Posted by John de Leon
Seattle police say a man entered a Green Lake home early Tuesday morning and punctured tires on several bicycles and stole various items before getting away.
Officers responded to the 7400 block of East Green Lake Drive North at around 1:45 a.m. after receiving a call about an unknown male inside a home. Police surrounded the home and called out the six roommates.
Police searched the home but didn't find the intruder.
Officers found no signs of forced entry into the house. However, a door on the west side of the house was open when officers arrived and the roommates were unsure whether the door had been locked.
Police said several items were missing from the house and the cords and wires to various electronic items had been cut. Front tires on several bikes stored inside the house had also been slashed.
