A sharp-eyed burglary victim helped police nab two men suspected of breaking into his home.

At about 2 p.m. Tuesday, the victim returned to his home in the 2300 block of West Raye Street to find his front door open and damaged, and his house ransacked. Fearing someone may still be inside, the man called 911.

Police responded and searched the victim's home, but found no one inside. As the officers were processing the burglary scene, the man went to get a cup of coffee.

When he got to the coffee shop the man saw two males walking east on West Dravus Street. One man was carrying a backpack that resembled one belonging the victim, while the second male was swinging a camera that appeared to also be owned by the victim.

The victim called 911, and reported he saw both men board a Metro bus that headed north on15th Avenue West.

The victim followed the bus while providing updates to Seattle police dispatchers, who relayed the information to officers. Police arrested the two suspects in the 2600 block of Market Street.

The suspects were booked into the King County Jail for investigation of burglary.
