Some shows on their way to Broadway that have Seattle ties:

• “Aladdin.” Based on a Disney animated film, this musical premiered at Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theatre in 2011 and will begin previews at the New Amsterdam Theatre in February. Among the cast from the original production are Seattle stage veterans Brandon O’Neill, Don Daryl Rivera and Donald Jones, Jr.

• “All the Way.” Seattle playwright-screenwriter Robert Schenkkan’s prizewinning new play, the first chapter in a two-part biography drama about the presidency of Lyndon Baines Johnson, debuted at Oregon Shakespeare Festival and begins performances Feb. 10 at the Neil Simon Theatre.

• “The Bridges of Madison County.” This new musical from Marsha Norman and Jason Robert Brown, based on the popular romance novel by Robert James Waller, has its Broadway premiere Jan. 17 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre with former Intiman Theatre artistic director Bartlett Sher at the helm.

• “If/Then.” Writer and former Village Theatre staffer Brian Yorkey and composer Tom Kitt, the team behind “Next to Normal,” debut their new musical about a woman rebuilding her life in New York City, at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in March.
