A list of performance-art, theater and visual-arts picks at Bumbershoot 2013.

Saturday-Monday, Aug. 31-Sept. 2, at Seattle Center (www.bumbershoot.org).
Bumbershoot is light on traditional forms of performance this year — no ballet or modern dance or classical music. Still, there are arts offerings of note, if you look.
“Detritus We Value”: Kinetic sculptor Jonathan Schipper’s projects usually play out over a period of months or years, so how will he handle a three-day limit in a piece described as a “continuously changing environment based on trash, salt, human will and hot-water bathing”? (11 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday-Monday, Fisher Pavilion)
Fantagraphics Follies: Seattle’s pioneering publisher of graphic novels and comics promises 75 unpredictable minutes of comedy, music, readings and more, presented by some of the area’s best-known cartoonists, including Jim Woodring, Peter Bagge and Ellen Forney. (6 p.m. Saturday, Words & Ideas Stage)
“My Last Year with the Nuns”: Matt Smith revives his monologue about growing up Catholic on Seattle’s Capitol Hill in the 1960s, focusing on race, religion and puberty (“All the things you don’t want to bring up at a cocktail party,” Smith quips). (2 p.m. Sunday, Theater Puget Sound Stage)
Anna Oxygen: Working in a Laurie Anderson vein, Anna Oxygen takes a multimedia/audience-interactive approach to songs and electronica. (4 p.m. Sunday, Reel Grrls stage, Seattle Center Pavilion)
“Audrey & Nelson”: Annex Theatre’s “puppet-sex musical” features book and lyrics by Bret Fetzer and a score by Peter Richards (of the power-pop band Dude York). Will it rival the puppet-sex interlude in “Team America”? Maybe. (5:15 p.m. Sunday, 7 p.m. Monday, Theater Puget Sound Stage)
