Chamber sextet eighth blackbird lands in Kirkland

With three Grammys in tow, this chamber sextet, which the Los Angeles Times called “super-musicians,” arrives with an energetic modern program that includes Derek Bermel’s “Tied Shifts,” Philip Glass’ “Knee Play 2” from “Einstein on the Beach,” Tom Johnson’s “Counting Duets” and Ligeti’s Etudes.
