Dance on stage, on film and in discussion are all on offer next week when “Next NW: Real/Time” takes over stages at Velocity Dance Center, Northwest Film Forum and other Capitol Hill venues. Live performances at Velocity run 8 p.m. Dec. 7-9, with work by Shannon Stewart, thefeath3rtheory (Raja Kelly), newcomer Babette McGeady (dancers Autumn Tselious, Kelton Roth and Will Christopher are shown here performing a McGeady piece) and others ($12-$18). On Dec. 10, “Next Dance Cinema” presents 13 dance films by Adam Sekuler, Joan Laage and others at Northwest Film Forum ($6-$10). “Velocity Open For(u)m: Real/Time” is a series of panel discussions, including “Shaping Time,” a free round-table exchange at Velocity with Sekuler, choreographer Mark Haim and composer Wayne Horvitz on Dec. 9.
