"Odin's Horse," Mirror Stage Co.'s first full production in a decade, is an eco-drama by Robert Koon about a writer of Icelandic heritage's life-changing encounter with a tree-sitting environmental activist. The play has been praised for its balancing of "both sides of a controversial issue by making the conflict as human as it is environmental or economic." Community forums on storytelling, Nordic mythology and the challenges of sustainable forestry will be part of the run. "Odin's Horse" runs Wednesday-Nov. 11. Ethnic Cultural Center, Seattle (206-686-1280 or www.mirrorstage.org).
