3 in Seattle honored with Princess Grace Awards
Seattle dance-community members Margaret Mullin, Olivier Wevers and Zoe Scofield have all been honored with 2011 Princess Grace Awards for emerging artists.
Three locals are on the list of winners of the Princess Grace Awards for emerging theater, dance and film artists.
Margaret Mullin, corps de ballet dancer with Pacific Northwest Ballet; Whim W'him founder and former PNB principal Olivier Wevers; and choreographer Zoe Scofield, of zoe | juniper, have been selected for awards to help further their careers. The awards will be presented Nov. 1 in New York.
The Princess Grace Foundation has given more than 700 awards totaling more than $8.5 million since its founding more than 25 years ago by Prince Rainier III of Monaco, in honor of his late wife. Princess Grace often anonymously helped emerging artists during her lifetime.
