‘Falling Skies’

This summer sci-fi series, starring Noah Wyle, Moon Bloodgood and Will Patton, features some creepy-looking aliens and is set in the aftermath of an attack on Earth. It closes out its fourth season with a two-hour finale at 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 31, on TNT (seattletimes.com/tvlistings).

“2014 MDA Show of Strength Telethon,” 9 p.m. (ABC): The Muscular Dystrophy Association’s mission to raise funds and awareness helps children and adults who are affected by progressive and often-fatal muscle diseases; musical performers include American Authors, Aloe Blacc and Jason Derulo.

“Unforgettable,” 9 p.m. (CBS): Carrie doubts Homeland Security’s conclusion about a bombing investigation and secretly conducts her own inquiry.

“The Strain,” 10 p.m. (FX): Setrakian gains a new and unlikely disciple after discovering the potency of ultraviolet light against the strigoi; a quick trip to a Brooklyn convenience store turns into a deadly all-night siege.

“Masters of Sex,” 10 p.m. (Showtime): Johnson tries to treat a woman on her own; Libby is witness to a hate crime.
