‘Wizard Wars’

Poof! it’s another magic show. This new competition series has teams of magicians create new illusions each week and then the winners take on “world-renowned wizards.” Hosted by Penn & Teller. Series premiere, 10 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, on Syfy (seattletimes.com/tvlistings).

“MLB Baseball,” 4 p.m. (ROOT): Seattle Mariners at Philadelphia Phillies.

“Extreme Weight Loss,” 8 p.m. (ABC): Kenny, a former Marine weighing 410 pounds, and Christy, a 380-pound woman who serves as a caretaker for her ailing mother, turn to Chris for help getting in shape.

“Dick Cavett’s Watergate,” 8 p.m. (KCTS): Dick Cavett interviews nearly every major figure in the Watergate scandal from 1972-1974.

“Next Great Baker,” 9 p.m. (TLC): The top three teams remain, but only two will move on to Vegas; each team must create a masterpiece revolving around each judge’s specialty.

“Finding Carter,” 10 p.m. (MTV): After learning of Elizabeth’s affair, Carter and Taylor urge her to come clean; Carter has to determine if she can pull the family back together.

“Perception,” 10:01 p.m. (TNT): Donnie seeks Pierce’s help when he finds himself in a compromising situation; Pierce and Moretti struggle with fears and doubts as they try to solve a case; Pierce’s father assaults someone at the assisted-living facility.
