Sunday TV Picks: HBO’s new ‘Looking’
TV picks for Sunday, Jan. 26, include “Looking” on HBO, “The Simpsons” on Fox and “House of Lies” on Showtime.
Tonight in Prime Time
Jonathan Groff (“Glee” and Broadway’s “Spring Awakening”) makes an appealing lead as a 29-year-old video-game designer looking for love in modern-day San Francisco in this new series. Murray Bartlett, Frankie J. Alvarez and Seattle-area actress Lauren Weedman highlight the supporting cast. Be warned, it’s reminiscent of other premium cable series featuring single people looking for love (“Sex and the City,” “Queer as Folk”), so there’s lots of sex. 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, on HBO (seattletimes.com/tvlistings).
