‘War of the Worlds: American Experience’

“Martians have invaded Earth!” That was what thousands of people thought when listening to Orson Welles’ infamous 1938 Halloween Eve radio broadcast of H.G. Wells’ tale. On its 75th anniversary, this PBS program looks back at the broadcast and its fallout. 9 p.m. Tuesday on KCTS (seattletimes.com/tvlistings).
