‘The Real World: Portland’

You know the drill. A group of young strangers moves in to an amazing living space in a major city. Then before you can say “sexy hot tub,” the partying, emotional entanglements and fights begin. For the series’ 28th season (!) the setting is Portland. Somehow I don’t think the kids will be hanging out at a bookstore and putting birds on things. 10 p.m. Wednesday on MTV.

Also on Wednesday

“MLB Baseball,” 7 p.m. (ROOT): Houston Astros at Seattle Mariners (Live).

“Survivor: Caramoan,” 8 p.m. (CBS): A castaway discovers a secret that could change the game; chaos ensues when contestants are unsure who to vote out.

“Modern Family,” 9 p.m. (ABC): Phil gets desperate when Cam and Claire’s flipped house is more difficult to sell than expected; Javier brings his new girlfriend along to visit Manny.

“Nova,” 9 p.m. (KCTS): “Australia’s First Billion Years: Awakening.”

“Seafood Paradise,” 10 p.m. (Travel): Jumbo lump crabcakes in Maryland; large helpings of crawfish in Louisiana; seafood tower in Malibu.

“The Americans,” 10 p.m. (FX): Stan pursues a lead that puts him on the trail to one of Gregory’s crew members.
