Thursday TV Picks: ‘Parks and Recreation’ on NBC
TV picks for Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, include “Parks and Recreation” on ABC; “Last Resort” on ABC; and “Glee” on Fox.
Tonight in Prime Time
The very funny sitcom about the strangeness of small-town politics has been delivering some great laughs in its fifth season. I submit as evidence last week’s hilariously awkward engagement party for Ben and Leslie (Adam Scott and Amy Poehler), and the recent episode involving sex education and senior citizens. And tonight Vice President Joe Biden is scheduled to appear. 9:31 p.m. Thursday on NBC (seattletimes.com/tvlistings).
“Babes in Arms” (1939), 7:15 p.m. (TCM): Talented children of retired vaudevillians put on a show.
“Last Resort,” 8 p.m. (ABC): Sam and Marcus look for the traitor who stole the nuclear launch key; when Prosser disobeys orders, he starts a conflict he can’t control; Grace and James try to defuse a dangerous situation.
“The Vampire Diaries,” 8 p.m. (CW): When terrifying hallucinations leave Elena confused and shaken, she makes a dangerous mistake.
“Vera,” 9 p.m. (KCTS): Vera returns to the Northumberland countryside, where she investigates an unsolved murder from earlier in her career.
“Glee,” 9 p.m. (Fox): Rachel and Kurt visit Lima; Cassandra returns to shake up Rachel’s life; Santana lends a hand.
“Person of Interest,” 9:01 p.m. (CBS): A resourceful third party raises the stakes as Finch and Reese try to protect their latest person of interest, a brilliant surgeon.
