Former UW Husky and World Cup soccer goalie Hope Solo dons sequins and spray-tan for a stint on "Dancing with the Stars," airing at 8 p.m. Monday. Here's a quick recap of last week:
The dance: A careful but somewhat stiff Viennese waltz. The judges praised her "attack" and connection with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, but noted that she needs to work on fluidity. "You've got a bright future in front of you," said Bruno, in case she was unsure of where her future might be.
The outfit: Floaty pink gown trimmed with sparkly things; not much fabric above the hips (except for enormous wafty sleeves). Paging Edyta ...
The laugh: Squeezing Chmerkovskiy's bicep in a rehearsal segment, the very toned Solo sweetly noted, "It's kind of flabby."
Standings: 21 points from the judges, putting her in third place.
