Capt. Picard as Claudius? Doctor Who as the Danish prince? You read that right. Patrick Stewart and David Tennant star in this modern, filmed-for-television adaptation of the Royal Shakespeare Company's 2008 staging of one of the bard's greatest plays. Presented as part of PBS' "Great Performances" series. 8 p.m. Wednesday on KCTS (seattletimes.com/tvlistings).

"Happy Town," 10 p.m. (ABC): Henley Boone moves to a seemingly idyllic town just as a shocking murder occurs; Tommy, a deputy and son of a popular sheriff, tries to ease the town's fears and solve the crime.
