Dog Writers Association of America awards

rannyIMG_8409.jpegFormer Seattle Times pets columnist Ranny Green, right, receives a coveted Dog Writers Association of America Hall of Fame plaque Sunday night in New York City at the organization's annual awards banquet. DWAA President Carmen Battaglia presents the award to Green. Green's Seattle Times blog feature last February entitled "Heart Dogs: Abbe" was the winning entry in the Feature Internet category, as well. Green was also presented with a Planet Dog Foundation Canine Service Special Award for the best story promoting and celebrating a program in which dogs serve and support their best friends that appeared on www. seattlekennelclub.org.
