A pet event for cat fans has popped into the Tails of Seattle mailbox. Here's the information and a link to a roundup of December pet events.
For those following the recent reports about parvo, click on the link near the end of this post for a full story.
Fabulous Felines: Through 3 p.m. Dec. 8, Magnolia Community Center, 2550 34th Ave. W., Seattle. Kittens and cats that are ready to move from foster homes to their forever homes will be at this Seattle Animal Shelter event. The adoption price varies from $45 to $135 plus applicable license fees. It includes initial vaccinations, ID microchip, deworming, feline leukemia testing, spay or neuter and a certificate for a free health exam at local veterinarian offices.

If you're planning to attend an event or visit a park with your dog, make sure vaccinations are up to date and your pet is in good health. There have been recent reports of a possible outbreak of the potentially deadly parvovirus. See the story "Dog virus spreading; puppies most at risk" for more information.
