Pets events: New off-leash dog park opens, tag days and rockin' seniors
Rain or shine, a dog needs to play. To give those busy hounds a place to stretch out and run, dog fans will be pitching in (and maybe doing some digging) to create a new off-leash area Saturday. Of course, all that hard work will be followed by a celebration with happy dogs on Sunday.
See the items below for details on the off-leash area events and others.
Magnolia Manor Park Off-Leash Area: Nov. 17-18, Magnolia Manor Park, 3500 28th Ave. W., Seattle. Join the work party at 10 a.m. Saturday to help install poop bag stations, border plants and a mock-up of an art fence project. On Sunday, head to the park with your canine friend for the off-leash area's opening celebration at 1 p.m. The ribbon cutting is slated for 1:30 p.m.

Microchip and Tag Days: 12-4 p.m. Nov. 17 and Nov. 20, N.O.A.H, 31300 Brandstrom Road, Stanwood. Get a microchip ID and an engraved ID tag for your pet for just the cost of registering the microchip ($19.95).
