Pet shelter open house, adoption blitz and other weekend events
Learn about the services, programs, volunteer opportunities and adoptable animals at your local pet shelter at one the many open houses today.
Pawsitive Alliance is hosting open houses with special activities and adoption opportunities at shelters across the state including Everett Animal Shelter, Homeward Pet Adoption Center, Grant County Animal Outreach, Humane Society of Central Washington, NOAH, Progressive Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) and Regional Animal Services of King County.

Also this weekend, Seattle Humane Society is having its Adoption Blitz. Adoption fees are being waived for all cats, dogs, rabbits and other animals at the shelter,13212 S.E. Eastgate Way, Bellevue. Dogs and cats have been vaccinated and spay/neutered. Most dog adoptions come with a six-week obedience training course. For details on the free adoptions, go to http://www.seattlehumane.org/
Other pet events this weekend include Seattle Reptile Expo, CAToberfest, Pumpkins and Ponies, Wags and Whiskers Block Party, Fabulous Felines and Doggie Palooza.
