MINNEAPOLIS – Maya Moore scored 13 of her game-high 32 points in the fourth quarter and the defending league champion Minnesota Lynx avoided elimination by beating the Phoenix Mercury 82-77 in Game 2 of the Western Conference finals Sunday.

The Mercury will host the deciding game Tuesday night. The Lynx are three-time defending Western Conference champions.

With the score tied at 75 and 23.3 seconds left, Minnesota’s Seimone Augustus made a 15-foot jumper and was fouled by DeWanna Bonner. Augustus, who finished with 23 points, converted the three-point play.

After Candice Dupree missed a 15-footer at the other end, Moore made two free throws for a five-point Lynx lead.

Diana Taurasi led Phoenix with 23 points and Dupree added 18.
