What to expect: Still a role player, and will be used on the wing and inside the paint. Needs to display consistent three-point shot and watch her turnovers and fouls.

Did you know? Loves to cook, especially lamb chops, but friends always ask for her broccoli, which confuses her. "All I do is steam it," she said. " Maybe cause it's fresh, not from a bag?"

30 | Tanisha Wright, guard

What to expect: Feeling the effects of year-round play, but as an eight-year vet she'll be relied upon to carry team along with Bird. With Swin Cash traded, she's now the team's best defender.

Did you know? With limited American entertainment while playing in Israel, she became a fan of the television show "Missing." Wright said she'd play Ashley Judd's role if offered a part.

14 | Katie Smith, guard

What to expect: With short roster until after the Olympics, her offense will be needed as much as her defensive skills. Could run point more and needs to stay healthy.

Did you know? Smith is a little touchy about her rep as "mean." "That's just the way I play," she said. Teammates say she's the funniest person on the roster.

40 | Shekinna Stricklen, forward

What to expect: Overall No. 2 pick is being groomed as a starter. Has a versatile offensive game, but will have to work hard to grasp Storm's defensive system quickly.

Did you know? Favorite channel is Disney Channel. "I really like 'Good Luck Charlie,' she said. "It's something different and kind of funny to me."

What to expect: The 2000 No. 1 draft pick will anchor the post until Jackson's return. Defensive game not as strong as offense.

What to expect: Has athleticism and rebounding tenacity that will be essential in Storm's run for playoffs. Needs work on consistency, but staff loves her aggressiveness.

Did you know? No wonder Dunlap can leap out the gym. Mother was a track star, father played three seasons in the NFL, and brother is a Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle.

7 | Tina Thompson, forward

What to expect: Will spread defenses with three-point shooting. Could transition to a reserve if Stricklen emerges or when Jackson returns.

Did you know? Thompson doesn't like her signature matte red lipstick, a staple since college. "I think it's dated," she said. Wears it in games because fans request it.

32 | Alysha Clark, forward

What to expect: Utility player will be used at both small forward and her natural power forward position. Worked overseas to gain confidence facing the basket.

Did you know? Seattle actually feels like a second home to Clark. An aunt and uncle live in the area, along with plenty of cousins she has reacquainted herself with.

11 | Ewelina Kobryn, center

What to expect: Has improved her defensive game and shooting range after her first season in the league. A deep reserve who's being developed for the future.

Coach Brian Agler

What to expect: Organization gambled in holding a slot for Lauren Jackson after the Olympics. The team will rely on youth more than in the past to really make a run once she returns.

Did you know? Agler is interested in coaching overseas like Chicago's Pokey Chatman (Russia). The Storm supports the idea, as long as it doesn't conflict with the WNBA season.
