Reno rallies for 6-5 victory over Tacoma

Alfredo Marte doubled in the tying run and then scored the go-ahead run on Brad Snyder’s single in the sixth inning as Reno edged Tacoma 6-5 Sunday night.

The Rainiers lost despite pounding out 17 hits, including a three-run homer by Nate Tenbrink.

Ty Kelly was 4 for 5 and Brandon Bantz was 3 for 5 with an RBI.

Stefen Romero and Robert Andino each had two hits.

Reno’s Juan Rivera hit a three-run homer and doubled and Chris Owings was 3 for 4 with a homer.

Everett 6, at Hillsboro 0

Steven Ewing allowed four hits in 62 / 3 innings and relievers Aaron Brooks and Jose Valdivia were perfect in the shutout for the AquaSox.

AquaSox pitchers had seven strikeouts and no walks.

Reggie Lawson hit two doubles and drove in three runs and Jack Reinheimer hit a two-run homer for Everett.
