CROMWELL, Conn. —

Justin Rose says he may need adrenaline to carry him through the Travelers Championship after winning the U.S. Open last week.

Rose says he had always planned to play a three-week stretch starting at Merion, and loves playing the TPC River Highlands course, where he has three top-10 finishes in seven starts.

The 32-year-old spent Tuesday in New York, making numerous media appearances, and says he did his best to just soak in the experience of winning his first major championship.

He says he plans to have fun in Connecticut, where scores are usually low, calling it a perfect balance to the grind of the U.S. Open.

Rose, who is now ranked third in the world, is the top-ranked golfer in the field that has just six top-20 players.
