WICHITA, Kan. —

Manny Arop scored 17 points, including a celebratory slam in the final minute, to lead Indiana State to a 68-55 victory over No. 15 Wichita State, snapping the Shockers' 19-game home winning streak.

The Sycamores (14-7, 7-3 Missouri Valley) stayed in the conference race with their first victory over a ranked team in five tries this season. Davonte Brown and Jake Odum both added 10 points.

Cleanthony Early had 15 points and Demetric Williams added 14 for first-place Wichita State (19-3, 8-2), which shot 27.1 percent from the field. The Shockers had just six field goals in the second half.

The Sycamores put themselves in position for the upset with a dominant last 4 minutes of the first half. Indiana State ended the half on a 17-3 run over the last 4:12, taking a 39-28 lead. Brown scored seven straight points during the run, attacking the basket with drives, including a spinning, off-balance layup. The run was capped by R.J. Mahurn's four-point play and Khristian Smith's steal and layup in the final 35 seconds.

Wichita State got within 50-48 with 7:26 remaining, but never pulled even.

Indiana State confounded Wichita State with a wide 2-3 zone that often had the Shockers settling for perimeter shots. Fifteen of Wichita State's 31 first-half field goals were 3-point shots.

As expected, Wichita State stormed out of the locker room at halftime and quickly scored the first five points. Four minutes into the half, Indiana State's lead was 39-35.

But a 3-pointer by Dawan Cummings 3-pointer and a jumper by Arop made it 44-35 with 14:45 to play.

Trailing by 10 points with 10:34 remaining, Wichita State made a run by holding Indiana State to two points over the next 4 minutes. A 3 by Fred Van Vleet helped the Shockers methodically pull within 50-48 with 7:26 left.

Odum scored four straight points to halt Wichita State's momentum. Two minutes later, Arop outhustled everyone to a loose rebound on Wichita State's end and raced for a layup.

The Shockers were 9 of 28 from beyond the 3-point line and 7 of 31 inside it.

Indiana State's victory, combined with wins over Miami and Mississippi, could help the Sycamores' NCAA tournament chances.

In coach Greg Lansing's three seasons at Indiana State, the Sycamores are 38-3 when holding an opponent to less than 63 points.
